Susan Lincoln

Susan Lincoln is a beloved, inspiring professional singer and motivational teacher from Austin, Texas. She has led groups in voice and creative expression for more than 25 years. Her eclectic journey through opera, sound and energy healing, creative movement, and mystical chant provides a rich soil for spiritual exploration. She is founder of Hilde Girls, song circles for women that use the wisdom and music of 12th century abbess and mystic Hildegard of Bingen to strengthen and enrich women’s lives.

Susan’s recording of a song by Hildegard was recently handpicked by Eckhart Tolle for inclusion on his new CD, Music for Inner Stillness. Susan was also a featured singer at the Abbey of St. Hildegard’s 100th Anniversary celebration, attended by thousands of people in Eibingen, Germany.

A classically trained singer, Susan’s relationship with Hildegard began in 1981 and exploded in 1999 when she first sang Hildegard’s songs in the chapel of the Abbey of St. Hildegard. Remembering the experience, Susan says, “It was as if Hildegard herself came into my heart and voice. I was trembling, my knees were buckling, and I had the experience of being sung.”

Soon afterwards, Susan returned to the US and began sharing her newly discovered passion 
with other women. She continues to share the music and wisdom Hildegard of Bingen through ongoing classes in Austin, Texas, and has led numerous classes and retreats throughout the US and Europe. Susan’s exuberant spirit, passionate curiosity, beautiful voice, and compassionate heart make experiences with her irresistible.
